ROUND TABLE – the European Directive on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings

We are pleased to announce that there will a Round Table on 16th October to discuss the DIRECTIVE 2010/64/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 October 2010 on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings – see here . Participants in the discussion will include Catherine Vieilledent-Monfort, representing the Directorate General of Translation in the European Commission, representatives of EULITA - the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association and the TRAFUT project, Lessius University, translation companies, and others with an interest in this theme. There will also be a parallel session on problems related to legal and community interpreting and translation on the same day and at other times during the conference.
